Our Beloved Hugging Doodle
Helping underserved communities navigate the challenges of mental health and well being.
For 14 incredible years, Aidan the Hugging Doodle was more than just a therapy dog—he was a source of comfort, kindness, and unconditional love to children, veterans, seniors, and families everywhere. His gentle presence, trademark bow tie, and heart full of empathy made him a true ambassador of hope.
In December, we said goodbye to Aidan as he crossed the rainbow bridge. Though his loss is deeply felt, his spirit continues to inspire everything we do at the Love and Hugs Mental Health Foundation. Aidan’s symbolic bow tie has now been passed to his little brother Patrick, who proudly carries on his mission as our foundation’s ambassador. Together, Aidan’s memory and Patrick’s ongoing work remind us that healing, resilience, and love are always possible.
Aidan’s Work with Children
Aidan’s gift was his ability to connect with children who were hurting, anxious, or afraid. With patience and gentle affection, he helped kids find courage and joy even in difficult circumstances.
Aidan’s Work with Veterans
From visiting hospitals to supporting veterans struggling with PTSD, Aidan offered quiet strength and comfort. His presence showed that healing can come in many forms—even from a wagging tail and a nuzzle.
Aidan’s Work with Seniors
Aidan’s visits to seniors brought light, laughter, and companionship to those who often felt isolated. His soft cuddles and warm presence reminded them they were never alone.
Carrying the Legacy Forward
Aidan’s story is a testament to the power of love and service. His paw prints will forever mark the path we walk as a foundation. With Patrick now stepping into his role, we continue Aidan’s mission: to bring kindness, compassion, and support to underserved communities navigating the challenges of mental health and well-being.
In memory of Aidan, and in celebration of Patrick’s ongoing journey, we invite you to join us—donate, volunteer, or simply share the message of Love and Hugs.
